New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Wednesday approved the empanelment of 24 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers of the 2010 batch for appointment to Joint Secretary or equivalent-level posts in the Government of India.
The empanelment enables these officers to be considered for senior policy-making and administrative roles across various Union Ministries and Departments.
Significance of ACC Empanelment
Empanelment by the ACC is a key milestone in an IAS officer’s career, making them eligible to hold:
- Joint Secretary posts
- Equivalent senior positions in the Central Government
