Almora: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Shri Peetham Foundation Festival आयोजित at Dol Ashram in Dol, Almora district. During the event, he performed the ritual worship of 1,100 young girls (Kanya Pujan), conducted the abhishek (holy bathing ritual) of Maa Rajeshwari, and prayed for the prosperity and well-being of the state and the nation.
During the program, the Chief Minister observed the Shri Yantra installed in the ashram premises and reviewed the ongoing spiritual activities. He stated that having darshan of the world’s largest Shri Yantra स्थापित there provides a unique spiritual experience.
Mentioning the spiritual practices and penance of Baba Kalyandas, he said that due to his efforts, this place has now emerged as a major global center of spiritual consciousness. He also appreciated Baba Kalyandas’ work in promoting spirituality.
He further said that Dol Ashram has become an important center of religious faith, spiritual practice, and cultural awareness, where a large number of devotees are arriving and experiencing inner peace. He added that the state government is continuously working to promote spiritual tourism, and the increasing number of pilgrims in the Char Dham Yatra each year is proof of improved arrangements.
On this occasion, Union Minister of State Ajay Tamta, MLA Mohan Singh Mehra, MLA Manoj Tiwari, former Assembly Speaker Govind Singh Kunjwal, BJP District President Mahesh Nayal, along with district administration officials and a large number of devotees, were present.
