Dehradun. A meeting of the Committee of Secretaries was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, where necessary guidelines were issued to secretaries and district magistrates to accelerate the state’s all-round development.
Emphasis on preparations for the Assembly session in Bhararisain
The Chief Secretary directed the timely preparation of SOPs, work completion guidelines, security protocols, sanitation, and other arrangements for the proposed Assembly session in Bhararisain.
A strong message on good governance, discipline, and digital governance
He clarified that strict enforcement action should be ensured for any misconduct by personnel or in government offices.
He also directed the Honorable Prime Minister to submit an updated status of the foundation stone laying work undertaken in the state.
Commending districts for their excellent implementation of e-office (digital filing), all directorates were directed to accelerate digital progress.
Rural Development, Migrant Coordination, and Agricultural Innovation
The Chief Secretary reviewed the ADOPT A VILLAGE scheme and directed districts with slow progress to take action seriously.
District Magistrates were asked to prepare district-wise data on migrants, establish coordination with them, and utilize their experience, technology, and work culture for the benefit of the state.
Commissioner cum Secretary, Revenue Council, Ranjana Rajguru, presented the Agri STAG scheme at the meeting. Emphasis was placed on accelerating the progress of agricultural development schemes and maximizing the benefits of central incentives.
Presentations on GIS-Based Governance and Sustainable Agriculture
The District Magistrate of Tehri gave a virtual presentation on “Using GIS for Fast Tracking Governance.” Effective initiatives such as compensatory tree plantation, forest land transfer, and the speedy settlement of land acquisition compensation were lauded.
The District Magistrate of Udham Singh Nagar presented initiatives related to sustainable agriculture and water conservation.
The Chief Secretary directed all District Magistrates to review development works and inter-departmental coordination and ensure timely implementation with transparency.
Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, Principal Secretary Dhananjay Chaturvedi, Special Principal Secretary Amit Sinha, and other senior officials were present at the meeting.
