Big decision by CM Dhami: Girls’ hostels to be opened in every development block; all GOs to be issued by June 15

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has issued strict instructions to accelerate development works and implement announcements on the ground. During a review meeting at the Secretariat, he clearly stated that delays in executing government announcements will not be tolerated.

Plans related to the Yamkeshwar, Pauri, Srinagar, Chaubattakhal, Lansdowne, and Kotdwar Assembly constituencies were reviewed. The Chief Minister directed that girls’ hostels should be established in every development block to provide better educational facilities for students from remote areas.

He also instructed that all pending government orders (GOs) must be issued by June 15, 2026. Additionally, departments were directed to prepare PERT charts to ensure timely completion and monitoring of projects.

The CM emphasized quick solutions to issues such as electricity, drinking water, roads, forest fires, and human-wildlife conflict. Instructions were also given to improve healthcare services and prioritize issues raised by public representatives.

To promote religious tourism, plans were discussed to develop Raghunath Temple, Lakshman Temple, and Sita Mata Temple into a religious circuit. Proposals for building a multipurpose hall for youth in Pauri and opening a Kendriya Vidyalaya were also directed to be expedited.

The Chief Minister urged all departments to work in coordination and ensure quick resolution of public issues so that the benefits of development schemes directly reach the people.
