BJP’s “Parivartan Yatra” Ahead of Bengal Elections; CM Dhami Addresses Rally in North 24 Parganas

New Delhi: Ahead of the West Bengal Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified its campaign. In this context, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended a public rally of the “Parivartan Yatra” in North 24 Parganas on Thursday, where a large number of people gathered.

Addressing the rally, CM Dhami criticized the ruling All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) government in the state. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the people of West Bengal have been facing fear, corruption, and administrative disorder for a long time.

Dhami said that the people of Bengal now want change, and BJP workers are reaching every village in the state to connect with citizens. He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several states in the country are being governed by double-engine governments, leading to rapid development.

He also criticized the state government over law-and-order issues, stating that people who believe in democracy are being suppressed and incidents of violence have been reported during elections in several areas.

Raising the issue of illegal infiltration, Dhami alleged that people crossing the border have been settled under vote-bank politics. He said that after the identification process began, uneasiness has been observed among many individuals.

The BJP’s Parivartan Yatra is a statewide campaign ahead of the 2026 West Bengal Legislative Assembly elections. According to the party, the campaign will cover around 5,000 kilometers and include dozens of large and small public meetings across the state.
