Census 2027 begins, CM Dhami promotes digital campaign with self-enumeration

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami completed his self-enumeration process at the Chief Minister’s residence under Census 2027, marking the formal beginning of this important campaign in the state. Senior officials associated with the census were also present and explained the digital process.

The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is moving toward a fully digital census for the first time. This initiative will ensure transparency, accuracy, and public participation, and strengthen India in the digital era.

The first phase of Census 2027 is the “House Listing and Housing Census,” under which important information related to housing conditions, facilities, and families is being collected. This time, citizens have been given the option of self-enumeration, allowing them to submit their details online through a portal.

CM Dhami instructed officials to complete the census work in a time-bound and transparent manner. He said that the data will play a crucial role in shaping future policies and योजनाएं, making its accuracy extremely important.

He appealed to the people of the state to actively participate in this national campaign by using the self-enumeration portal. He also assured that strict measures have been taken to ensure the security of the collected data, which will be used only for statistical purposes.

On this occasion, Geeta Dhami, Director (Census Operations) Eva Srivastava, and other officials were present.
