Dehradun: The ongoing Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand has set a monumental record, with pilgrim numbers surpassing 56,18,497, breaking the previous all-time high recorded in 2023. Devotees from across the country and abroad have poured into the state to visit Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri.
According to the state government, robust arrangements across healthcare, traffic management, drinking water, sanitation, parking, accommodation, and disaster management along the pilgrimage routes have ensured a safe, smooth, and well-managed journey. Seamless inter-departmental coordination among local administration, police, health authorities, and the SDRF has contributed significantly to this success.
Expressing delight over the milestone, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated, “Every devotee visiting Devbhoomi Uttarakhand is our revered guest.” He noted that the record turnout reflects the growing faith of pilgrims and the enhanced infrastructure provided at holy shrines. CM Dhami commended the dedication of police personnel, health workers, SDRF teams, local bodies, shrine priests, and administrative staff for the successful conduct of the yatra.
