Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami spoke with the victims of the bear attack, calling the bravery of students Divya and Deepika a matter of pride

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took the bear attack incidents near school campuses in the Pokhari development block of Chamoli district very seriously and demonstrated sensitivity and promptness. The Chief Minister spoke directly with the student injured in the bear attack over the phone, inquiring about his well-being and offering him solace and prayers for a speedy recovery.

Chief Minister Dhami stated that the state government stands firmly with the victim’s family during this difficult time and that no shortage will be allowed at every level of treatment and security. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also spoke with the courageous students Divya and Deepika, who displayed indomitable courage, understanding, and human sensitivity during the incident, saving the children from the bear. Praising the bravery of the students, the Chief Minister said that the courage, patience, and responsibility they have displayed at such a young age is a matter of pride and inspiration for the entire state.

The Chief Minister said that ensuring the safety of other children, without caring for one’s own life, in a time of crisis is an example of extraordinary courage. He encouraged the students and wished them a bright future. He stated that the state government will always encourage such courageous children. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed the district administration and forest department to immediately increase patrolling in the affected areas and ensure additional security arrangements around schools, Anganwadis, and populated areas. He clarified that all necessary and effective steps should be taken to prevent such incidents from recurring in the future.

The Chief Minister also directed that proper medical care be provided to the injured student and all possible assistance be provided to the victim’s family. He also instructed officials to maintain regular monitoring and instill confidence in the local population regarding safety. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that the safety of children is the state government’s top priority, and that the government will work with full commitment and rigor under all circumstances to protect the lives and property of citizens.
