Nainital: The accident occurred around 2 PM on Thursday in the Bhawaligao Bypass area of Nainital. A speeding car bearing a Uttar Pradesh registration number, carrying devotees visiting Kainchi Dham, lost control, skidded off the road, and plunged into a deep gorge.
In the tragic road accident in Nainital district of Uttarakhand, five tourists from Uttar Pradesh lost their lives. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took cognizance of the incident and expressed deep condolences to the families of the deceased. He also issued necessary instructions to ensure proper treatment for the injured and the transportation of the bodies to their families.
All five occupants of the car died on the spot. News of their painful deaths spread grief throughout the region.
