Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the oath-taking ceremony of the Uttarakhand Secretariat Association and administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly elected executive committee members. On the occasion, he congratulated the office-bearers and extended his best wishes for a successful tenure, emphasizing the important role of the Secretariat family in strengthening good governance, transparency, and accountability.
The Chief Minister congratulated the newly elected President Deepak Joshi, Vice Presidents Rakesh Joshi, Sanjay Kumar Sharma, and Pramila Tamta, General Secretary Rajendra Raturi, Secretary Atul Kumar Singh, Joint Secretaries Divyanshu Dobhal and Surendra Singh Rawat, Observer Reena Makhanwal, Treasurer Ramesh Singh Bartwal, Publicity Secretary Deepak Bisht, and the entire executive committee.
Secretariat Is the Heart of Governance
Addressing the gathering, CM Dhami said that the Uttarakhand Secretariat is not merely an administrative building but the soul of the state’s governance system and a key center of public trust. He noted that policies are formulated there and directions are set for delivering welfare schemes to the last person in society.
He stated that the officers and employees working in the Secretariat are important partners in the mission of building a developed Uttarakhand. Through their efficiency, dedication, and commitment, government schemes reach ordinary citizens, creating a strong bridge of trust between the government and the people.
Government Committed to Transparent and Citizen-Centric Governance
The Chief Minister said that the state government has consistently worked to make governance more sensitive, transparent, and people-oriented. Continuous dialogue is being maintained with employee organizations, and their concerns and suggestions are being considered seriously.
According to him, a strong, motivated, and satisfied workforce is one of the greatest strengths of good governance.
Focus on Administrative Reforms and E-Governance
CM Dhami highlighted that the government is taking continuous steps to simplify administrative procedures, expand technology-based services, and strengthen e-governance. The objective, he said, is to provide citizens with timely, transparent, and high-quality public services.
Call for Service and Commitment
Expressing confidence in the Secretariat’s future, the Chief Minister said that through a better work culture, stronger coordination, and a positive environment, the Uttarakhand Secretariat can set new benchmarks in governance and efficiency.
He urged the newly elected executive committee to discharge its responsibilities with a spirit of service, sensitivity, and dedication, and to actively contribute toward realizing the government’s vision of making Uttarakhand one of the leading states in India under its commitment to a “resolution without alternatives.”
The ceremony was attended by senior government officials, office-bearers of the Secretariat Association, and a large number of officers and employees.
