Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved financial sanctions worth nearly ₹24 crore for various development and infrastructure projects across the state. The approved projects cover drinking water supply, sewerage, river rejuvenation, laboratory modernization, lake conservation, and the development of religious and educational institutions.
The Chief Minister sanctioned ₹1.43 crore for the installation of 200 hand pumps in the Bhagwanpur Assembly constituency of Haridwar district, ₹3.16 crore for improving the sewerage system in Roorkee city, and ₹4.50 crore for replacing damaged water distribution pipelines in New Haridwar Model Colony and the Govindpuri area.
To modernize district-level laboratories, the government has also approved ₹2.54 crore for the procurement of Automatic Analyzer Systems for laboratories in the Garhwal and Kumaon divisions.
Promoting environmental conservation and water resource restoration, the Chief Minister approved ₹6.02 crore for the rejuvenation and treatment of the Gadool River (a tributary of the Song River) in Dehradun district and ₹4.17 crore for the restoration and treatment of the Kamal Ganga River in Uttarkashi district.
Additional approvals include ₹74.38 lakh for the conservation and development of Okhaldhunga Lake in Champawat, ₹56.51 lakh for the beautification of the newly built Durga Temple in the Bengali Colony of Nanakmatta, Udham Singh Nagar, ₹72.83 lakh for the construction of a dharamshala at Maa Mangla Bhagwati Temple in Seraghat, Almora, and ₹53.18 lakh for constructing the boundary wall of Lala Om Prakash Gyan Deep Girls’ Inter College in the Laldhang Nyaya Panchayat area of Haridwar.
The government stated that these projects will strengthen basic infrastructure, promote water resource conservation, and accelerate development across various sectors.
