CM Dhami Approves ₹38 Crore for Development Projects; Dearness Relief Increased for Pensioners

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved financial sanctions of nearly ₹38 crore for various drinking water, irrigation, tourism, and infrastructure development projects across Uttarakhand. The state government has also approved an increase in Dearness Relief (DR) for civil and family pensioners.

Under NABARD-funded schemes, the Chief Minister sanctioned ₹12.83 crore for five irrigation projects in Chamoli and Almora districts and ₹15.06 crore for seven additional irrigation projects.

Other approvals include:

  • ₹3.98 crore for the installation of 50 hand pumps and 31 solar panels in Champawat district.
  • ₹4.96 crore for the upgradation of the Mukteshwar Tourist Rest House in Nainital district.
  • ₹1 crore as the first installment towards the revised project cost of ₹50 crore for establishing an NCC Academy in Pauri Garhwal.

The Chief Minister also approved an increase in Dearness Relief for civil and family pensioners covered under the Fifth and Sixth Central Pay Commissions, effective January 1, 2026.

Under the revised rates:

  • Pensioners under the Fifth Pay Commission will receive 484% DR, up from 474%.
  • Pensioners under the Sixth Pay Commission will receive 262% DR, up from 257%.

Chief Minister Dhami said the state government remains committed to promoting balanced development, strengthening infrastructure, boosting tourism, and safeguarding farmers’ interests. He also directed officials to ensure the timely and high-quality implementation of all approved projects.
