Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved development projects worth ₹19.67 billion (₹1,967 crore) aimed at strengthening urban infrastructure and developing a modern drainage network across the state.
The Chief Minister sanctioned ₹19.60 billion (₹1,960 crore) for 15 GIS-based urban drainage projects across various districts. The projects are intended to provide a long-term solution to urban waterlogging and establish modern stormwater drainage systems.
He also approved a ₹68.2 million (₹6.82 crore) flood protection project for Khetkheda village on the right bank of the Sharda River in Tanakpur, Champawat district.
In addition, the Chief Minister approved the release of the first instalment of ₹4.212 million (₹42.12 lakh) for constructing an interlocking-tile staff parking area in front of the Consolidation Office within the District Magistrate’s office complex in Udham Singh Nagar. The total project cost is ₹7.021 million (₹70.21 lakh).
Chief Minister Dhami said the state government remains committed to developing safe, well-planned, and modern infrastructure across Uttarakhand. He instructed officials to ensure that all approved projects are completed within the prescribed timelines while maintaining high construction quality so that residents can benefit from the schemes at the earliest.
