Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved a total of ₹257 crore for various projects in the state, including road improvement, urban development, water supply, health, and sports. This amount will be used for road asphalting, reconstruction, and widening in various districts.
₹4.26 crore has been approved for the asphalting of the Mornaula-Jaiti motor road in the Jageshwar area of Almora, ₹4.70 crore for the construction of the Kathgodam bypass (Kathgodam-Ranibagh section) on NH-87 in the Bhimtal area of Nainital, and ₹3.86 crore for the reconstruction of the Vyasghat to Silsu motor road in Pauri.
₹14.55 crore has been approved for converting the Dehradun-Kimadi-Lambidhar-Cart Mackenzie road from a single lane to an intermediate lane in the Mussoorie area of Dehradun.
Under the recommendations of the 15th Finance Commission, ₹58.37 crore will be released to urban local bodies as the second installment for the year 2024-25. Additionally, ₹5.65 crore has been approved for the construction of the “Devbhoomi Silver Jubilee Park” in Haldwani-Kathgodam, Gauchar, Mahuvakhedganj, Chamiyala, Kichha, Nandprayag, Narendranagar, and Tapovan.
Under the Fifth State Finance Commission, ₹79.09 crore has been approved for district panchayats and ₹81.57 crore for urban health and wellness centers. ₹3.72 crore has been approved for the construction of a 1.53 MLD water treatment plant at Chinwadi Danda in Pauri district.
₹79.68 lakh has been released for the construction of an automated driving test track in Kotdwar, while ₹39.04 lakh has been approved for the Minor Irrigation Department from the State Contingency Fund. As part of preparations for the Kumbh Mela 2027, ₹90.36 crore has been approved for 40 different projects.
In Almora, assistance of ₹3 lakh has been approved for the owner of a house completely damaged by a natural disaster, and ₹1 lakh for the dependent of the deceased. Haldwani resident Premlata Verma has been approved for ₹20,000 per month as a Loktantra Senani Samman pension starting August 18, 2025.
₹3.47 crore has been approved for the Chief Minister’s Emerging Players’ Development Scheme under the Sports Department. ₹19.75 lakh has been approved for the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Dehradun, to provide free online coaching for students with disabilities for the Civil Services Examination. The government states that these decisions will strengthen the state’s infrastructure and directly benefit the general public.
