Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved financial sanctions worth more than ₹89 crore for various development works, police housing projects, prison infrastructure, disaster relief measures, and public utility projects across Uttarakhand.
Major Approvals for Police Housing and Prison Infrastructure
Key approvals include:
- ₹42.47 crore for construction of 120 Type-II residential quarters at the police lines in Roshanabad.
- ₹17.44 crore for new residential buildings at Rishikesh Police Station.
- ₹59.78 lakh for construction of additional barracks at Dehradun District Jail.
- Approval for release of ₹27.60 crore for various police establishments during the current financial year.
Assistance for Disaster-Affected Families
The Chief Minister approved relief assistance from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for nine families affected by natural disasters in the Uttarkashi district.
Families living in rented accommodation will receive:
- ₹4,000 per month
- For a period of six months
- Total assistance of ₹2.16 lakh
Development Projects in Salt and Vikasnagar
Other approvals include:
- ₹29.32 lakh for installation of 10 high-mast lights in major markets of the Salt Assembly constituency.
- Financial approval for development works worth ₹3.80 crore in the Vikasnagar Assembly constituency, including the release of the first installment.
Support for Uttarakhand Ashram in Pushkar
The Chief Minister also sanctioned ₹50 lakh for infrastructure development at the Uttarakhand Ashram, including:
- Generator installation
- Drinking water facilities
- Solar panel systems
The government said these financial approvals will strengthen infrastructure, expand police and prison facilities, and provide direct benefits to disaster-affected families and citizens across the state.
