Haridwar: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the 51st Nirvan Diwas programme at Bandi Chhod Shri Brahmnivas Ashram on Sapt Sarovar Road in Haridwar. Paying tribute to Brahmaleen Bhuri Wale Maharaj, he described the saint community as a guide in protecting religion, culture and the nation.
After the programme, the Chief Minister targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saying that his frustration and resentment are continually increasing. He said Rahul Gandhi has still not been able to move beyond a feudal mindset and wants the country and Parliament to function according to his wishes.
The Chief Minister said the mindset of those who considered control of the country’s political power their birthright has now changed. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who comes from an ordinary family, the country is progressing rapidly and work is being undertaken for every section of society. He said India’s influence in the world is increasing, which is causing frustration within the opposition.
On the issue of the examination paper-leak mafia in Uttarakhand, the Chief Minister rejected Rahul Gandhi’s allegations that no action had been taken against those involved. Dhami said the state has enacted a strict anti-cheating law and more than 100 people have been sent to jail. He also said that thousands of young people have been given government jobs.
Regarding the ongoing agitation in Jharkhand, the Chief Minister said Rahul Gandhi should not have gone there at such a time. He alleged that Rahul Gandhi is gathering students at different places.
On measures being taken to prevent infiltration in West Bengal, the Chief Minister said this is one of the reasons people are choosing BJP governments. He claimed that BJP-ruled states are prioritizing development instead of appeasement politics.
