CM Dhami attends DAV PG College event, calls youth the driving force of nation-building

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended a student union समारोह at DAV PG College and addressed students, describing youth as the main force behind nation-building.

In his address, he said that youth are not only the future but also the present of the country. Their energy, determination, and innovative thinking shape India’s development. He described student politics as an important medium for leadership development, organizational skills, and social responsibility.

The Chief Minister mentioned organizations like Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, stating that they help instill values of national service, character building, and social awareness among youth. He also referred to the ideals of Swami Dayanand Saraswati, emphasizing that education is not just about earning degrees but also about character and nation-building.

He highlighted that under the leadership of Narendra Modi, several initiatives like Make in India, Digital India, Startup India, and Skill India have empowered youth toward self-reliance. The state government is also promoting modern courses like artificial intelligence and machine learning under the new education policy.

He added that infrastructure in higher education is being strengthened with new colleges, model institutions, hostels, IT labs, and exam halls. The government is also addressing faculty shortages through new recruitments.

The Chief Minister announced the construction of two additional floors at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Memorial Academic Block of the college. The event was attended by cabinet ministers, MLAs, college officials, and student leaders.
