CM Dhami became emotional remembering his days of struggle and praised Rudrapur’s Rastogi Rajma from the stage

Rudrapur: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami recalled his days of struggle during the inauguration ceremony of the Saras Livelihood Fair held in Rudrapur. Referring to the Rastogi Rajma Chawal stall on the Kashipur bypass, he said that when he didn’t have much money at the beginning of his political career, he used to eat Rajma Chawal there. During the event, the stall’s operator, Rajaram Rastogi, was called on stage and honored. An emotional Rajaram Rastogi invited the Chief Minister to visit the stall again, to which CM Dhami assured him of his return soon.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that due to his attachment to Rudrapur, some people advise him to contest elections from there, but he is contesting all 70 assembly seats in the state and expressed confidence in winning more seats this time. Whenever Pushkar Singh Dhami recalls his struggles, he never forgets Rudrapur. Upon arriving in Rudrapur after assuming power, he suddenly stopped by the Rastogi Rajma Chawal stall on the Kashipur bypass. He tasted the Rajma Chawal prepared by Rajaram Rastogi, the owner of Rastogi Rajma Chawal, and reminisced about his past.

Yesterday, during the inauguration of the Saras Aajeevika Mela held at Gandhi Maidan in Rudrapur, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami again recalled the past and praised Rajaram Rastogi, the owner of Rastogi Rajma Chawal. While CM Dhami was addressing the gathering, some leaders on the stage mentioned that Rajaram Rastogi was present, prompting CM Dhami to call Rajaram Rastogi onto the stage. CM Dhami first shook hands with Rajaram Rastogi and honored him. Upon meeting the Chief Minister, Rajaram Rastogi became emotional and invited him to eat rajma chawal at his cart again. CM Dhami assured him that he would soon return to his cart to eat rajma chawal.

Addressing the event, CM Dhami said that when he visited Rudrapur during his early political career, he didn’t have enough money to eat at big hotels, so he would go to Rastogi Rajma Chawal. Rajaram Rastogi would offer a plate of rajma chawal for 10 rupees, making one plate a full meal.

Rastogi Rajma Chawal operator Rajaram Rastogi explained that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami would often visit Rudrapur when he was a member of the Youth Front. He has been coming to his cart ever since. When Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami first assumed power in the state, his cart suddenly arrived upon his arrival in Rudrapur, and he was overjoyed to see it. Today, I was at an event held at Gandhi Maidan in Rudrapur to listen to the Chief Minister. He recalled his days of struggle and mentioned our organization. Some people informed him that I was present at the event, and the Chief Minister immediately called me to the stage. When I reached the stage, the Chief Minister shook hands with me and honored me. I have invited him to visit my organization again.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Saras Aajeevika Mela in Rudrapur, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that some people, seeing my attachment to Rudrapur, ask me to contest elections from Rudrapur. But I want to tell them that I am contesting from the 70th Assembly constituency of the state. I am confident that this time we will win more seats than last time.
