CM Dhami Celebrates Holi in Khatima, Says – “Our Folk Traditions Are Our Identity”

Khatima. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the grand Holi Milan समारोह held at Sanatan Dharamshala Ramlila Maidan, Khatima, and extended Holi greetings to the gathering. A large number of people attended the event, and the entire मैदान appeared immersed in festive colors.

The Chief Minister took part in traditional Kumaoni Holi, classical Holi, and Tharu Holi singing, sharing the joy of the festival with local citizens. He said that the folk culture, traditions, and festivals of Uttarakhand are strong pillars of our cultural identity.

He stated that Holi is not just a festival of colors but a symbol of social unity, harmony, and brotherhood. In an emotional address, the Chief Minister said, “Khatima is my home and the people of Khatima are my family. I feel a special sense of belonging when I come among my own people.”

Connection to Culture and Respect for Women Power

The Chief Minister said that such events serve as a medium to connect the younger generation with their roots. Saluting women power, he said that the state government has given top priority to the dignity and safety of women.

Describing Khatima as a symbol of communal harmony, he said that the region is known as ‘Mini India,’ where all communities celebrate festivals together with love and harmony. Even in the modern era, preserving traditional culture here is commendable.

Call for the Vision of a Developed India

The Chief Minister urged citizens to actively participate in the development of the state and the country and appealed for cooperation in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Developed India.

During the program, the Chief Minister played Holi with local residents and prayed for the happiness, peace, and prosperity of the people of the state. Public representatives, administrative officers, and a large number of citizens were present at the event.
