Dehradun. As part of the development initiatives at Haripur Kalsi, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami dedicated a newly built, ₹7.52 crore bathing ghat—developed by the Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA)—to the public. Located on National Highway-507 (Dehradun-Chakrata road) about 45 km from Dehradun, Haripur Kalsi serves as the gateway to Jaunsar-Bawar and holds deep historical value with nearby sites like the Ashokan Rock Edict, Devsthal Temple, and Ashwamedha Yajna site.
MDDA Secretary Mohan Singh Barnia confirmed that the new infrastructure enables the transition from weekly Aartis to daily evening Aartis, with flood-protection walls shielding the riverbanks during high water levels.
