Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed deep sorrow over the tragic vehicle accident near Devprayag on the Char Dham pilgrimage route.
He conveyed condolences to the families of the deceased pilgrims and prayed for peace for the departed souls. The Chief Minister also wished the injured a speedy recovery and instructed officials to ensure that no negligence occurs in their treatment.
Dhami said the state government is fully committed to providing every possible assistance to the affected families. He noted that immediately after receiving information about the accident, the administration, police, State Disaster Response Force, and National Disaster Response Force were deployed for rescue and relief operations.
Search operations for missing persons are continuing, and officials have been instructed to accelerate rescue efforts and provide all necessary support to the victims’ families.
The Chief Minister said he is personally monitoring the situation and receiving regular updates from the administration.
