Tanakpur: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took an important step toward providing better and faster health services to citizens of Champawat district by flagging off an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) ambulance from the Sub-District Hospital in Tanakpur.
With the operation of this advanced ambulance, patients in the region will receive improved and rapid medical assistance during emergencies. It will help transport critically ill patients safely and quickly to hospitals.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also inaugurated a modern Phacoemulsification machine at the Sub-District Hospital in Tanakpur. With the installation of this machine, treatment for cataracts and other eye diseases will now be possible locally using modern technology. Patients will no longer need to travel to other districts for treatment, and elderly patients as well as others suffering from eye problems will benefit.
The Chief Minister said that this ACLS ambulance has been provided under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by Bahl Paper Mills Limited in Kashipur. The ambulance is equipped with advanced life-saving equipment capable of providing immediate medical assistance in cases of heart disease, accidents, and other emergency situations.
During the program, the Chief Minister also inspected the newly installed dialysis machine in the hospital premises and obtained information about its functioning from doctors. He also visited the hospital’s emergency ward.
The Chief Minister interacted with patients undergoing treatment and their families and took feedback regarding health services, availability of medicines, and treatment facilities at the hospital. He instructed medical officials to ensure better healthcare facilities, prompt treatment, and compassionate behavior for every patient visiting the hospital.
Several public representatives, officials, and dignitaries were present at the event.
