CM Dhami Flags Off Four Advanced Ambulances, Health Services to Reach Mountain Districts

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday flagged off four advanced ambulances from the Chief Minister’s Camp Office. These ambulances, provided by HDFC Bank under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, aim to strengthen healthcare services in the state’s remote and hilly regions.

In the first phase, the ambulances will serve the districts of Chamoli, Champawat, Pithoragarh, and Rudraprayag. The ambulances are equipped with modern medical facilities and emergency equipment to ensure timely treatment for patients in need.

CM Dhami said that the availability of timely healthcare services in mountainous and remote areas is extremely important. He added that the support of private institutions in public welfare is a strong example of social responsibility, and the state government is continuously working to provide better healthcare facilities to people living in the remotest areas.

Praising HDFC Bank’s initiative, the Chief Minister said that such services would prove highly useful during disasters, major religious events, and in inaccessible regions. He also expressed hope that additional ambulances would be provided under CSR initiatives for other hilly districts and the upcoming Haridwar Kumbh.

According to bank officials, for the next three years, each ambulance will also have a doctor, nurse, attendant, and driver arranged by the bank. In the future, these ambulances will also be used during religious events and disaster management operations.
