Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami presented recognition certificates to 26 minority educational institutions at a programme held in Dehradun. The theme of the programme was “New Identity, New Respect, A Bright Future Through Modern Education.”
The Chief Minister said that while traditions have their own importance, the present era is driven by knowledge, science, technology, innovation, and artificial intelligence. He stressed the need to connect children not only with textbook knowledge but also with practical, modern, and employment-oriented education so that they can face the challenges of a rapidly changing world.
Clarifying the objective of the Minority Education Authority, the Chief Minister said that it was not intended to target any particular community, but to ensure equal opportunities for all children. He said that eligibility and equal opportunity form the basis of the government’s policies.
The Chief Minister said that the younger generation is rapidly advancing in the fields of technology and digital innovation. In such a scenario, identifying children’s talent and potential and providing them with proper guidance, good values, and modern education is a shared responsibility of the government and educational institutions.
He expressed the expectation that recognized institutions would ensure that the benefits of modern and quality education reach every village and household. He said that the true impact of the system being launched today should be reflected in children’s education, talent, and future prospects.
The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand has a long-standing tradition of brotherhood and social harmony. He expressed hope that this initiative in the field of minority education would eventually become an example for the rest of the country.
Recognition certificates were presented to a total of 26 minority educational institutions, including six institutions from Dehradun, 19 from Haridwar, and one from Udham Singh Nagar.
Minority Welfare Minister Khajan Das, Dr. Surjeet Singh Gandhi, Chairman of the Uttarakhand State Minority Education Authority, along with departmental officials, public representatives, and representatives of educational institutions, were present on the occasion.
