Dehradun: At the Raipur Assembly Conference 2026 held in the Nehru Colony area, the Bharatiya Janata Party emphasized strengthening the organization and taking government schemes to every citizen. During the event, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was honored with a cricket bat.
A large number of party officials, including page in-charges (panna pramukhs) and booth presidents, participated in the conference. Under SIR training, detailed discussions were held on the schemes of the central and state governments.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the event as the chief guest, while in-charge minister Subodh Uniyal was the special guest. The program was chaired by MLA Umesh Sharma Kau. On this occasion, party workers honored the Chief Minister with a cricket bat and gave him titles like “Dhakad Dhami” and “Dhurandhar Dhami.”
Addressing the workers, CM Dhami said that the strength of the organization is the biggest asset of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He stated that party workers are playing an important role in delivering government schemes to the last person. He also said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttarakhand is तेजी से progressing on the path of development and has become a leading state in many sectors.
Amid growing political activity in the state, BJP leaders also reacted to leaders joining the Congress. Recently, several leaders from BJP and other parties joined Congress, including former MLA Rajkumar Thukral, Bhimlal Arya, former BSP MLA Narayan Pal, former Roorkee mayor Gaurav Goyal, former Bhimtal block chief Lakhan Singh, and former Mussoorie municipal chairman Anuj Gupta.
CM Dhami said that the leaders whose names are being mentioned were already expelled from the party or had been inactive for a long time, so their departure would not affect the BJP.
Meanwhile, cabinet minister Subodh Uniyal took a dig at Congress, saying that the party is now collecting “fused bulbs.” He claimed that the BJP organization is stronger than ever and will contest upcoming elections with greater strength based on its workers.
