CM Dhami Inaugurates Nayar Valley Adventure Festival-2026, Highlights Development Initiatives

Pauri Garhwal: Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Nayar Valley Adventure Festival-2026 during his visit to Pauri Garhwal today. The Chief Minister said the festival will provide the district’s natural beauty, cultural heritage, and adventure tourism with a new identity.

He stated that the state government is continuously working for the comprehensive development of hilly regions, with a commitment to ensure development reaches every section of society. The festival is expected to generate employment opportunities for local youth and promote tourism and pilgrimage in the region.

The festival will host competitions such as mountain biking, paragliding, trail running, and angling. The area, located between popular tourist spots like downe”,”uttarakhand india”], Devprayag 2025-26. Pushkar Singh Dhami and Women Empowerment & Child Development Minister Rekha Arya addressed the beneficiaries virtually.

The Chief Minister stated that the Nanda Gaura Scheme is not just financial assistance but a campaign to change social mindset. The government aims to support girls from birth to higher education, ensuring transparency and accountability through direct benefit transfers.

Minister Rekha Arya said the scheme, operational since 2017, has effectively encouraged girl child births, promoted institutional deliveries, and prevented child marriages. The scheme provides ₹11,000 at the time of birth and ₹51,000 when a girl passes 12th grade and enters higher education.
