CM Dhami Inaugurates Oho Radio 89.2 FM in Dehradun, Says Radio Remains the Most Effective Medium of Public Communication

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday inaugurated Oho Radio 89.2 FM at Ballupur in Dehradun. Speaking on the occasion, he said that radio continues to be one of the most effective platforms for public communication, awareness, and social consciousness, with the ability to reach even the last person in society.

The Chief Minister said radio serves as a powerful medium for disseminating information on government welfare schemes, healthcare, education, disaster management, environmental conservation, and other public interest initiatives, besides providing information, education, and entertainment.

Expressing confidence in the new FM station, CM Dhami said Oho Radio 89.2 FM would play an important role in promoting constructive dialogue and delivering useful information to different sections of society.

He added that the Uttarakhand government is continuously working through various communication platforms to promote the state’s rich cultural heritage, regional languages, folk arts, folk music, and local talent at the national level.

The Chief Minister further noted that despite the digital age, radio continues to enjoy credibility and relevance, especially in highlighting local issues, positive stories, and encouraging community participation. He hoped the station would emerge as a strong platform for constructive communication and contribute to Uttarakhand’s cultural and developmental progress.

The programme was attended by MLA Savita Kapoor, Oho Radio RJ Kavya, and several other dignitaries.
