CM Dhami Interacts with Youth at “Youth Dialogue: Youth Power, Uttarakhand’s Progress” Program in Tanakpur

Tanakpur: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the “Youth Dialogue: Youth Power, Uttarakhand’s Progress” program in Tanakpur, where he interacted directly with young people and listened to their suggestions, ideas, and questions.

He stated that youth are the greatest strength of any state or nation and that Uttarakhand’s young population is rich in talent, energy, and innovation. According to him, the vision of a developed Uttarakhand cannot be achieved without active youth participation.

The Chief Minister observed that India is among the world’s youngest nations and that its youth are playing a key role in building a self-reliant and developed country.

He highlighted several national initiatives launched under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, including Startup India, Skill India, Digital India, Make in India, and Khelo India, which have created new opportunities for young people.

At the state level, he said the government is promoting employment, self-employment, skill development, and innovation through programs such as the Chief Minister Self-Employment Scheme, Youth Encouragement Scheme, and Rural Skill Development initiatives.

He also mentioned the “One District, Two Products” initiative and the House of Himalayas brand, which are helping local products gain wider recognition.

According to the Chief Minister, the state’s unemployment rate has declined significantly, and more than 33,000 young people have received government jobs through transparent recruitment processes over the past four and a half years. He added that Uttarakhand has implemented one of the country’s strictest anti-cheating laws to ensure fairness in recruitment examinations.

The Chief Minister further noted that sports culture is being promoted in the state and that the successful hosting of the 38th National Games has strengthened Uttarakhand’s identity in the sports sector.

He encouraged young people to set ambitious goals and move forward with hard work, innovation, and positive thinking, emphasizing that Uttarakhand’s youth are the builders of a new Uttarakhand.
