CM Dhami Joins “One Tree in Mother’s Name” Campaign, Plants Saplings and Leads Cleanliness Drive

Khatima: On the occasion of the Central Government completing 12 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in a cleanliness drive at the Purnagiri Temple complex in Khatima. He personally took part in cleaning activities and planted saplings under the “One Tree in Mother’s Name” campaign.

The Chief Minister said that cleanliness and environmental protection are not merely government programs but public movements that require active participation from citizens.

He appealed to the people of Uttarakhand to keep their homes, neighborhoods, and surrounding areas clean and to contribute to environmental conservation by planting more trees.

Environmental Protection Is a Shared Responsibility

CM Dhami stated that protecting nature and the environment is a collective responsibility. Tree plantation not only helps maintain ecological balance but also ensures a clean and healthy environment for future generations.

He described the “One Tree in Mother’s Name” campaign as a meaningful initiative that combines emotional connection with environmental awareness. He said that if every person plants and nurtures a tree in honor of their mother, the campaign could evolve into a large-scale public movement.

Call for Public Participation

The Chief Minister emphasized that active public participation is essential for building a clean and healthy Uttarakhand. He noted that cleanliness and a greener environment would further strengthen the state’s identity.

Local public representatives, BJP workers, and a large number of residents also participated in the program. CM Dhami urged everyone to make environmental conservation and cleanliness a regular part of their daily lives.
