Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday listened to the grievances of people arriving from various regions of the state at the Mukhya Sevak Sadan, located at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office. People presented regional and personal issues before the Chief Minister, including roads, drinking water, electricity, health, education, revenue, pensions, employment, and financial assistance.
The Chief Minister instructed the concerned officials to ensure a prompt, effective, and time-bound resolution of public grievances. He emphasized that problems capable of being resolved at the district or departmental level should not be kept unnecessarily pending at the government level. Officials must prioritize and resolve cases at their own level.
Resolution of Complaints Must Not Remain Confined to Paperwork
Dhami stated that resolving public grievances is among the highest priorities of the state government. The working mechanism must be made more effective so that people do not have to make repeated visits to government offices for their work. He directed regular monitoring of every case received during public hearings and mandated that complaint resolutions must not remain limited to paper action, but ensure genuine relief to the concerned individual.
The Chief Minister noted that public grievance redressal is being made more effective through initiatives such as the Chief Minister Helpline-1905, public hearings, and programs like “Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar” (Government for Every Citizen, at Every Citizen’s Doorstep). Through these programs, the administration reaches out directly to the public to resolve issues while connecting eligible individuals with government schemes and services.
Seva Sankalp Abhiyan to Run Until October 17
The Chief Minister informed that the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, which commenced on September 17, will run until October 17, 2026. Under this drive, events related to service, public participation, dialogue, and innovation are being organized. Under the ‘Seva Setu Abhiyan’, health camps and multipurpose camps will be set up alongside ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ camps to deliver central and state government schemes and services directly to the public.
Chief Minister Meets Medal-Winning Athletes
During the event, athletes from Uttarakhand who won medals at the ‘9th Heroes International Taekwondo Championship-2026’ met with the Chief Minister. The competition was held in Pattaya, Thailand, from July 31 to August 2. Mannu Sonkar, Shivani Dabsa, Mohammad Zaki, and Mukul won gold medals, while Megha Sharma and Dhananjay Dhariwal earned bronze medals. The Chief Minister congratulated all the athletes and wished them a bright future.
The occasion was attended by Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretary Vinay Shankar Pandey, Garhwal Commissioner Anand Swaroop, Additional Secretary J.C. Kandpal, District Magistrate Dehradun Dr. Ashish Chauhan, Senior Superintendent of Police Dehradun Pramendra Dobhal, and other officials from the Chief Minister’s Office.
