Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday listened to the 137th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme at Kunwa Wala. After the programme, the Chief Minister said that ‘Mann Ki Baat’ has become an effective platform for inspiring citizens to actively participate in nation-building and for bringing to the attention of the country and the world the people and innovative initiatives that are driving positive change in society.
The Chief Minister said that during the programme, the Prime Minister conveyed a message to keep the youth away from drugs and to turn the resolve of “Drug-Free Youth, Developed India” into a mass movement. He said drug-free youth are the strong foundation of an empowered and developed India. The Prime Minister’s call will increase awareness among young people against drug abuse and provide new energy to the youth dedicated to nation-building.
The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister also highlighted innovative efforts being undertaken to communicate India’s glorious history and heritage to the younger generation in a simple and engaging manner. Such initiatives connect young people with the country’s rich heritage while strengthening their sense of pride in India’s culture and nation.
He said that through ‘Mann Ki Baat’, the Prime Minister is giving national recognition to the extraordinary work, innovations and public participation initiatives being undertaken by ordinary citizens in different parts of the country. This also inspires others to bring about positive change in their respective areas and contribute to nation-building.
The Chief Minister urged the people of Uttarakhand, particularly the youth, to imbibe the Prime Minister’s messages in their lives. He said that young people should stay away from drugs and actively contribute to building a developed India with a healthy, empowered and positive mindset.
On the occasion, Rajya Sabha MP and BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt, Cabinet Ministers Satpal Maharaj, Ganesh Joshi, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Madan Kaushik, Bharat Chaudhary and other public representatives were present.
