Dehradun: Reacting to the ongoing protests in Delhi over the issue of paper leaks, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that some people are using students’ emotions for political gains. He said that if the movement had remained limited to students’ interests, the matter would have been different, but giving it a political colour is not appropriate.
The Chief Minister welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to establish fast-track courts for the speedy hearing of cases related to paper leaks. He said that this decision is an important step towards protecting the future of millions of youth and ensuring transparency in competitive examinations.
CM Dhami said that the establishment of fast-track courts will lead to quick disposal of paper leak cases, timely punishment for offenders, and effective prevention of such crimes in the future. He said that the Central Government is fully committed to protecting the interests of youth and ensuring a fair recruitment process.
The Chief Minister said that the Uttarakhand Government is also continuously taking strict measures to maintain transparency in recruitment examinations. He stated that action has already been taken against more than 100 accused persons involved in paper leak and recruitment scam cases in the state, and thousands of youths have been appointed to government services through a fair process.
He reiterated that the government is fully committed to protecting the rights of youth and maintaining a transparent recruitment system. Strict action against those involved in paper leak cases will continue, and the interests of candidates appearing honestly for examinations will not be compromised at any level.
