CM Dhami participated in the Dussehra festival at Laxman Chowk, Dehradun, saying, “To realize the vision of Ramrajya, we will destroy the Ravana of corruption

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Dussehra festival and Ravana Dahan organized by the Welfare Society at the Hindu National School, Dehradun, on the occasion of Vijayadashami.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extended Vijayadashami greetings and best wishes to all the people of the state, saying that this annual event at Laxman Chowk is special for us because the originator of this event is Rajya Sabha MP and National Co-Treasurer of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Naresh Bansal. I congratulate him for making this event a medium of public awareness and cultural consciousness.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that this year also marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. For millions of people like me, the ideology and inspiration of the Sangh are the power to work for the nation.

The Chief Minister said that Dussehra is not just a festival, but it serves as a guiding light in our lives. It teaches us that no matter how powerful falsehood is, its defeat is certain. It tells us that the misuse of power and knowledge ultimately leads to downfall. Lord Shri Ram’s entire life is a wonderful example of dignity, righteousness, and duty. His life as an ideal son, ideal husband, and ideal king is a source of inspiration for all of us. Lord Ram gave the message that no matter how many difficulties are faced in protecting righteousness, righteousness always prevails.

The Chief Minister said that today, under the able leadership of respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the magnificent temple of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya Dham has become the greatest cultural and religious pride of our era. Our temples, fairs, and festivals not only symbolize our unwavering faith in Sanatan culture but also serve as powerful sources of tourism and employment. Keeping this in mind, we are constantly striving to organize these events on a larger scale. The Chief Minister said that embracing the ideals of Lord Shri Ram, our government has resolved to eradicate land jihad, love jihad, spit jihad, conversion jihad, and many other evils from the state. Today, under the anti-riot law, rioters’ property is being confiscated and the losses are being compensated by them.

The Chief Minister said that our government has also implemented the country’s most stringent anti-cheating law to crack down on the cheating mafia that is jeopardizing the future of the youth. As a result, over 25,000 youth in the state have successfully secured government jobs in the last four years. However, some people are unhappy with the transparency with which our youth are admitted to government jobs. As you all well know, a cheating case recently came to light. Upon learning of the incident, our government took immediate action, arrested the accused, and formed an SIT to investigate the entire examination. However, opposition parties, using this case as a shield, attempted to spread political chaos in the state by using our youth as a shield and were trying to incite the youth to demand a CBI investigation. Therefore, I personally met with the youth and assured them that, in addition to a CBI investigation, we will fulfill all their just demands. Our government has enacted a strict anti-cheating law to protect the interests of the youth, and I will take whatever decisions are necessary to protect their future and rights without hesitation. Furthermore, our government recently implemented a new law in the state and decided to abolish the Madrasa Board. After the implementation of this law, only those Madrasas will be able to operate in Uttarakhand after July 1, 2026, which teach the curriculum prescribed by our government board. Our endeavor is to establish such temples of education in the state that provide quality education according to established standards, rather than pushing children into a 500-year-old tribal mentality in the name of education. The Chief Minister said that to realize the vision of Ramrajya, our government is working with a determined “zero tolerance” policy to eradicate the Ravana of corruption from the state. For the first time in the state’s history, we have taken strict action against more than 200 people involved in corruption in the last three years, including IAS and PCS level officers.

The Chief Minister said that inspired by the ideals of Lord Ram, we are continuously working to fulfill our “no choice” resolution of making Uttarakhand the leading state in the country. I have full faith that to fulfill this resolution, all of you will lay the foundation of a strong, prosperous, and just society by adopting the values of truth, honesty, and dedication in your lives.

Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, MLA Khajan Das, other public representatives, and a large number of local people were present on this occasion.
