CM Dhami Pays Tribute to Shaheed Udham Singh, Says His Life Is an Eternal Inspiration of Patriotism

Gadarpur: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid floral tribute to Shaheed Shiromani Udham Singh on his martyrdom day at the Kamboj Dharamshala in Gadarpur on Friday. He also participated in the Akhand Path and offered prayers at a Gurdwara for the peace and prosperity of the state.

The Chief Minister said that the sacrifice, courage, and patriotism of Udham Singh continue to inspire every Indian. He described the Jallianwala Bagh massacre as one of the darkest chapters in Indian history and said that Udham Singh avenged the injustice, demonstrating India’s courage and self-respect before the world.

He added that Udham Singh’s life symbolizes patriotism, self-respect, service, and sacrifice. He also highlighted that the teachings of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib promote humanity, compassion, truth, brotherhood, and selfless service, values that remain relevant for society and the nation.

CM Dhami acknowledged the significant contribution of the Sikh community to Uttarakhand’s development and urged everyone to follow the ideals of Shaheed Udham Singh and actively contribute to nation-building.

The event was attended by Minister-in-Charge Pradeep Batra, MLAs Arvind Pandey, Shiv Arora, Trilok Singh Cheema, BJP District President Kamal Jindal, Mayor Vikas Sharma, and several other public representatives and dignitaries.
