Dehradun: On Friday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Maa Chandika Mahavanyath Devra Yatra held at Biron Deval in Ukhimath. The Chief Minister first reached the Maa Chandika Temple and participated in the Mahayagna (sacrifice). He performed the puja with Vedic mantras and received Maa Chandika’s blessings. He was then welcomed by the temple committee, public representatives, and local villagers with garlands, robes, and mementos.
Addressing the public, the Chief Minister expressed his deepest gratitude for participating in this Mahayagna. He prayed to Maa Chandika for everyone’s well-being and for the prosperity of Uttarakhand. Describing the venue as a symbol of religious and spiritual confluence, the Chief Minister said that this Mahayagna, held after 20 years, is not just a religious ritual but also a symbol of cultural renaissance. He added that such religious and social events are the unique identity of Uttarakhand and provide the new generation with an opportunity to connect with their traditions and roots.

The Chief Minister, who visited Biron Dewal on Friday, made various announcements. In this, he assured to take necessary action as per the rules after conducting an examination for reconstruction of Maa Chandika temple premises and temple complex through the Archaeological Department, construction of a new tehsil building in Tehsil Basukedaar and upgradation of Lata Baba school to intermediate level. Along with this, on this occasion, Asha Nautiyal, MLA Kedarnath, also submitted a letter to the Chief Minister regarding various demands of the area. The Chief Minister assured to take necessary action after examining the above demands.
