CM Dhami Targets Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, Labels Opposition Anti-Sanatan

Rudrapur: During the ‘Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy’ padyatra organized by the BJP at Gandhi Park in Rudrapur, the district headquarters of Udham Singh Nagar, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched sharp political attacks on the Congress and the Samajwadi Party. Addressing a public gathering, he targeted Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, accusing the opposition of maintaining an anti-Sanatan mindset, spreading confusion and anarchy in the country, and questioning the valor of the armed forces.

Taking a jibe at the opposition, Dhami said their condition has become like “eating nine hundred rats and the cat goes on a Hajj pilgrimage.” The public has shown Congress the way out of the real parliament, but the opposition is now trying to fulfill its political ambitions through a mock parliament as well.

Questions Congress Over Delhi Rally

Citing the opposition rally held at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan, Dhami took a dig at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi. He said the rally could have been held even after Deepawali, but by ignoring the hardships of traders, markets and shops were forced to close. He alleged that the opposition’s programs caused losses to traders and created an atmosphere of anarchy.

Quoting former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Dhami remarked that when Congress is in power, it proves dangerous for the public, and when out of power, it becomes a danger to the country.

Accuses Opposition of Questioning Military Valor

The Chief Minister accused Rahul Gandhi of using allegedly objectionable language against National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. He stated that every fifth jawan in the Indian Army comes from Uttarakhand, and raising questions on military valor is an insult to the state’s soldiers and their families.

Raising the issue of surgical strikes, Dhami stated that Congress leaders either demand proof of action from the army or raise questions on matters related to national security. He said that if Congress leaders do not like statements made by their crown prince, they should oppose them.

Mentions Khatima and Rampur Tiraha Incidents

In his address, the Chief Minister recalled the Khatima firing incident and the Rampur Tiraha incident to target Akhilesh Yadav. He noted that seven people lost their lives and many were injured in the Khatima firing. Meanwhile, during the Uttarakhand statehood agitation, humanity-shaming incidents occurred during the Rampur Tiraha incident. Dhami held the Samajwadi Party government led by then-Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav responsible for this.

He said that the wounds of the Rampur Tiraha incident remain fresh for the people of Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister accused Akhilesh Yadav of insulting the people of Uttarakhand by calling them “infiltrators.” He also accused Kharge of remaining silent on allegedly communal and provocative slogans raised during a Haldwani rally.

Dhami accused the opposition of responding to issues according to their convenience and remaining silent on the display of a distorted mindset. He stated that during its tenure, Congress promoted scams instead of development, and instead of a Nyay Yatra (Justice March), Congress should undertake a Prayashchit Yatra (Atonement March).

The Chief Minister also responded to the opposition’s demands to remove Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and statements aimed at ousting Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the opposition’s politics is solely based on opposition and spreading confusion. Jabbing Rahul Gandhi’s concept of a “shop of love” (mohabbat ki dukan), he said this shop is now running at a loss, and the shop of lies will also close down soon.

Highlights Government Achievements

Recalling the development works of the BJP government in Uttarakhand, the Chief Minister stated that Congress has long been out of power in the state, and the public has repeatedly rejected them. He urged party workers not to give Congress any chance of a comeback in the state during upcoming elections.

Dhami stated that approval has been received to develop Pantnagar Airport as an international-level airport. Facilities at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) are being expanded in the state. Work on the industrial smart city in Khurpia, Udham Singh Nagar, has commenced, and hurdles facing the Jamrani Dam project have been cleared.

Police Stop Youth Attempting to Meet Chief Minister

During the public meeting, police personnel stopped a youth who was trying to reach the Chief Minister to present his grievance. It was alleged that police pushed him back while preventing him from reaching the Chief Minister. Following this incident, a brief commotion ensued at the venue. When the matter came to light, the BJP District President stepped down from the stage and approached the youth to hear his grievance.

Padyatra Commences from Gandhi Park

Following the public meeting, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt, MP Ajay Bhatt, Cabinet Minister Saurabh Bahuguna, MLA Shiv Arora, along with other party leaders and workers, participated in the padyatra. The march started from Gandhi Park, passing through Bata Chowk, Main Market, Hari Mandir, and Kashipur Bypass, before reaching Agrasen Chowk and concluding back at Gandhi Park. BJP leaders utilized the event to publicize party policies and government achievements to the public.
