Dehradun. As part of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s initiative to involve young people in the state’s development, the final phase of the ‘Mukhyamantri Yuva Vidyarthi Manthan’ campaign will be organized on September 18. The Chief Minister will directly interact with 140 selected students from across the state to hear their thoughts and suggestions regarding a developed Uttarakhand. Prior to meeting the CM, senior IAS officers and department heads will engage in group discussions with the students.
Key Highlights of the Campaign
- Massive Response: A total of 2,67,744 students of classes 11th and 12th submitted their ideas online on the topic “Kaisa Ho Mere Sapno Ka Uttarakhand?” (What Should the Uttarakhand of My Dreams Look Like?). A panel of experts selected the top 140 entries.
- Youth Input in Policy Making: CM Dhami emphasized that constructive suggestions from students will be integrated into state policies and schemes, treating youth not just as the future, but as active present-day stakeholders in policy-making.
- Focus Areas for Discussion: Senior officials will deliberate with students across sectors including education, health, forestry & environment, self-employment, migration, public works, IT, tourism, and women & child development.
- ₹2 Lakh Scholarship: All 140 selected students will receive a scholarship of up to ₹2 lakh to support career preparation, skill development, and training after Class 12.
