Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, participating in a program held at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office on Saturday, transferred ₹12,89,85,000 to the accounts of 4224 beneficiary workers under various schemes of the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). The Chief Minister also launched a special arrangement at 191 Common Service Centers in the state to assist workers, enabling them to easily access information related to schemes, registration, and other services.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is addressing every problem faced by the workers. Various welfare schemes are being run for the workers and their dependents, providing them with economic security, social protection, and a dignified life. The Chief Minister said that the state government has also undertaken the task of connecting workers and their dependents with skill development by running training programs for their livelihood.
The Chief Minister said that workers are the strongest foundation of our state’s development. The contribution of workers in infrastructure development is invaluable. He said that it is the responsibility of the state government to ensure that the future of those who play a crucial role in the development of the state, and their families, is also secure. He said that with the special arrangement started for workers at 191 Common Service Centers in the state, they will no longer have to visit government offices repeatedly. Through CSCs (Common Service Centers) at the block, tehsil, and village levels, workers will now receive registration, renewal, and all assistance related to schemes at a single location.
The Chief Minister said that the Workers’ Welfare Board has transferred ₹51 crore to the accounts of workers and their families in the last six months. Earlier, the Workers’ Welfare Board had also launched a system at the block level for the registration/renewal of workers and application for benefits.
Labor Commissioner P.C. Dumka said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dhami, the board is continuously working in the interest of the workers. He informed that an amount of ₹12 crore 89 lakh 85 thousand has been transferred to the accounts of 4224 beneficiary workers through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) by the Chief Minister. He said that in the future too, the board will work according to the Chief Minister’s vision of simplification, solution, resolution, and satisfaction.
On this occasion, Chairman of the State Contract Labour Advisory Board, Kailash Pant, Deputy Labour Commissioner Vipin Kumar, Assistant Labour Commissioner Dharmaraj, IT Expert Ms. Durga Chamoli, and others were present.
