Gadarpur: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) Battalion in Gadarpur during his Gadarpur-Rudrapur tour to review disaster management preparedness. He interacted with NDRF officers and personnel and took detailed information about rescue operations, available resources, and training activities.
The Chief Minister said Uttarakhand is highly vulnerable to natural disasters, making the role of the NDRF crucial in ensuring public safety and carrying out prompt rescue and relief operations. He added that the state government is continuously working to strengthen and modernize the disaster management system to ensure swift and coordinated action during emergencies.
CM Dhami appreciated the courage, dedication, and service of NDRF personnel, saying they work with commitment to save lives even in the most challenging situations. He described their discipline and professionalism as an inspiration for the entire nation.
During the visit, the Chief Minister also planted a sapling in the NDRF campus and appealed to people to plant and protect more trees, emphasizing that afforestation is the foundation of a secure future for coming generations.
He instructed officials to prioritize the use of modern technology, regular training, and better coordination among various agencies to make disaster response and rescue operations more effective.
The event was attended by Minister-in-Charge Pradeep Batra, MLAs Arvind Pandey, Shiv Arora, Trilok Singh Cheema, Mayors Deepak Bali and Vikas Sharma, District Magistrate Nitin Singh Bhadauria, SSP Ajay Ganpati, Commandant Santosh Kumar, and other NDRF officials and personnel.
