Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami watched Hanuman Ansh, a film based on the life, devotion, service and spiritual journey of Baba Neem Karoli Maharaj, at a cinema hall in Sentrio Mall, Hathibarkala. His wife Geeta Dhami, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, MLA Pradeep Batra, various office-bearers and other dignitaries were also present.
After watching the film, CM Dhami said that India’s saintly tradition has always shown society the path of truth, service, compassion and spirituality. He said Baba Neem Karoli Maharaj’s life is an inspiring example of this great tradition. His devotion, service to humanity and message of love for all remain relevant even today.
The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand is not only known as Devbhoomi, the land of the gods, but is also a land of great saints and spiritual traditions. Kainchi Dham, associated with Baba Neem Karoli Maharaj, has today become a major centre of faith and devotion for people in India and across the world. Creative efforts that take the lives and teachings of saints to the masses play an important role in connecting Indian culture and Sanatan values with the younger generation.
He said that Hanuman Ansh prominently portrays the values of devotion, service, love, compassion, humility and the welfare of humanity. Through the film, an effort has been made to present Baba Neem Karoli Maharaj’s spiritual journey and the values that guided his life.
Praising the efforts of the film’s producers and the entire team, the Chief Minister said that inspirational films based on Indian culture, spiritual heritage and the saintly tradition help raise awareness in society about service, values and human virtues.
It is noteworthy that the film has been directed by Vishal Chaturvedi and features Shobhinav Sateiya along with other actors in prominent roles. The film was released nationwide in Hindi on August 7, 2026.
