CM Dhami’s Big Gift: Development Works Worth ₹44.64 Crore Approved in Uttarakhand

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved ₹44.64 crore to accelerate development works in different parts of the state. The funds will be spent on improving public facilities, disaster mitigation, strengthening Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), and other construction works.

The Chief Minister has approved ₹1 crore as the first installment for a workshop organized under the National Landslide Risk Mitigation Program run by the National Disaster Management Authority. Apart from this, ₹1.99 crore has been sanctioned for repair and strengthening works of various Government Industrial Training Institutes in different districts.

For repair and construction works at the Government Tribal Hostel in Khatima (Udham Singh Nagar district), ₹46.14 lakh has been approved. Similarly, ₹37.71 lakh has been sanctioned for the Government Tribal Hostel in Kashipur.

Under the Dharampur Assembly constituency of Dehradun district, ₹38.97 lakh has been approved for renovation and construction of parking at the Gorkha Sangh Dharamshala in Chandrabani. Additionally, ₹65.93 lakh has been sanctioned for renovation and beautification of a community building in Guniyal village of Mussoorie.

A major amount of ₹38.15 crore has also been approved for expansion-related works at the Sitarganj District Jail.

Under the recommendations of the 15th Finance Commission, steps have also been taken to strengthen the health sector. Approval has been given to release ₹1.62 crore in the financial year 2025–26 for the approved action plan of block-level public health units for the financial year 2024–25.

The government said that these development works will strengthen basic infrastructure in the state and provide better services to local residents.
