Khatima: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami boosted the morale of local traders in Khatima on Monday with his simplicity and approachable manner. While walking along Melaghat Road, the Chief Minister unexpectedly stopped at Milan Dairy and enjoyed a cup of tea. Local shopkeepers and residents were visibly delighted to see the Chief Minister among them.
During the tea break, the Chief Minister warmly interacted with shopkeepers and local residents, enquiring about their businesses and the facilities available in the area. He said promoting local products, shops and small businesses was a collective responsibility.
The Chief Minister said “Vocal for Local” was not merely a slogan but a strong foundation for a self-reliant India and a self-reliant Uttarakhand. Giving priority to local shopkeepers, artisans, entrepreneurs and products would strengthen local markets and the economy while creating new opportunities for employment and self-employment.
He said Uttarakhand’s identity was also closely associated with its local products, skills and entrepreneurial spirit. The government was continuously working to provide markets for local products and promote self-employment. The Chief Minister’s decision to walk to a local dairy and have tea there became a simple example of this approach.
