CM Dhami’s Visit to Haldwani: Inaugurates and Lays Foundation for 40 Projects Worth ₹147 Crore, Responds to Vanbhulpura Issue

Haldwani. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami gifted multiple development projects during his one-day visit to Haldwani. Participating in a program held at Sushila Tiwari Government Medical College, he inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 40 projects in Nainital district worth a total of ₹147 crore 28 lakh 56 thousand.

23 Projects Inaugurated, 17 Foundation Stones Laid

During the program, 23 projects worth ₹72 crore 38 lakh were inaugurated, and foundation stones were laid for 17 projects worth ₹74 crore 90 lakh 56 thousand. The Chief Minister said these projects would give new momentum to development in Nainital district and move the state closer to becoming a developed state.

Inaugurated projects include a 30-meter span motor bridge over the Shipra River, a technology lab at ITI Haldwani, construction of tube wells in various areas, a laboratory in the Women’s College, and 14 drinking water schemes under the Jal Jeevan Mission. Other development works, including the Ramgarh Veterinary Hospital building, were also inaugurated.

Projects for which foundation stones were laid include the Kasiyalekh-Dhari motor road, Ranibagh-Khutani road, Chafi-Padampuri-Dhanachuli route, construction of a 28 MLD STP, sewerage work on Nawabi Road, and road repairs from Nariman Tiraha to Gaulapar.

Additionally, under the Special Assistance Program, foundation work was performed for the Haldwani-Kathgodam source and treatment augmentation drinking water scheme worth ₹154 crore 43 lakh.

Launch of HPV Vaccination Campaign

During the program, the national HPV vaccination campaign was launched in the virtual presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Chief Minister described it as an important step toward safeguarding women’s health.

Review Meeting and Law & Order Discussion

During the visit, the Chief Minister chaired a review meeting on law and order and development works at the FTI auditorium and issued necessary instructions to officials.

Response on Vanbhulpura Issue

Regarding the Vanbhulpura railway land encroachment case, the Chief Minister expressed gratitude for the Supreme Court’s decision. He said the matter should have been resolved earlier, and following the interim order of the court, the district administration will proceed with further action.

At the end of the visit, the Chief Minister also inaugurated a private hospital. He stated that the state government is moving forward by balancing development and heritage and is giving the state a new identity through historic decisions.
