Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed the immediate restoration of the disaster-damaged road connecting Khainuri village in Dasholi block of Chamoli district, following complaints from local residents.
Villagers informed the Chief Minister over the phone that the road had been completely damaged due to a natural disaster, disrupting connectivity for nearly 120 families. Taking prompt cognisance of the issue, CM Dhami instructed the District Magistrate and the concerned departments to assess the situation immediately, begin repair work without delay, and restore safe transportation.
The Chief Minister said that timely resolution of citizens’ problems remains the government’s top priority. He directed officials to ensure that the restoration of roads, drinking water, electricity, and other essential services in disaster-affected areas is carried out without delay through coordinated efforts.
He also instructed officials to deal with complaints from rural and remote areas with greater sensitivity so that residents do not face unnecessary hardships.
Reiterating the government’s commitment, CM Dhami said that restoring normal life in disaster-affected regions at the earliest remains one of the state’s highest priorities.
