CM Yogi and Dhami Inaugurate Development Projects in Yamkeshwar, Offer Prayers at Shiva Temple

Kotdwar: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami jointly visited the Yamkeshwar region and inaugurated as well as laid foundation stones for various development projects. During the visit, both leaders participated in a program organized at Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Government College, Bithyani.

The program began with traditional prayers at the ancient Shiva Temple in Yamkeshwar. Both Chief Ministers prayed for the prosperity and welfare of the nation and the state. District Magistrate Swati S. Bhadauria welcomed the dignitaries.

On Thursday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also visited his ancestral village Panchur. There, he participated in the Shri Vishnu Mahayagya and performed rituals with his family members and villagers. Thanking the temple committee, he said that three years ago there was only devotion at the site, whereas today a grand temple has been constructed.

Chief Minister Yogi encouraged youth to adopt positive thinking, saying that positive thoughts lead to positive outcomes and devotion to God helps maintain positive energy. He also expressed happiness over the educational achievements of children from the Thangar region.

AI-Based Website Inaugurated

Upon reaching the college, female students welcomed both Chief Ministers in a traditional manner. Yogi Adityanath and Pushkar Singh Dhami paid floral tribute to the statue of Guru Gorakhnath.

During the event, the college’s new AI-based website was digitally inaugurated. Trilok Chandra Sharma explained the functioning of the website. Chief Minister Yogi interacted with the AI bot and reviewed the examination system and results, while Chief Minister Dhami discussed student enrollment and skill development programs.

New Building and Open Gym Also Inaugurated

The newly constructed college building and seminar hall were also inaugurated. On the occasion, the book “Viksit Bharat – Ek Sankalp” was released.

To promote fitness awareness among youth, an open gym in the college campus was also inaugurated. Both Chief Ministers exercised on gym equipment to spread awareness about health and fitness.

Additionally, both Chief Ministers inspected the proposed stadium site and assured that construction work would be completed soon.

Yogi Adityanath Welcomed with Traditional Dhol-Damau

Yogi Adityanath reached his ancestral village Panchur on Thursday at around 4:15 PM and arrived at the premises of the newly constructed temple. He was welcomed with traditional dhol-damau music. Villagers and public representatives greeted him with flowers.

Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj, Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat, MP Trivendra Singh Rawat, District Magistrate Swati S. Bhadauria, and others were present on the occasion.

Shri Vishnu Panchdev Temple Completed in 15 Months

A consecration ceremony is being organized at the newly built Shri Vishnu Panchdev Temple in Panchur village. A Kalash Yatra was organized on May 4, while idol consecration and Shri Vishnu Mahayagya are scheduled for May 8.

Construction of the temple began on March 1, 2025, and was completed in April. After the consecration ceremony on Friday, the temple will be opened to the public.

Yogi Visits Panchur for the Fourth Time After Becoming CM

This is Yogi Adityanath’s fourth visit to Panchur after becoming the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. He first visited on May 3, 2022, during his nephew’s mundan ceremony and stayed in the village for two nights.

He visited again on February 6, 2025, to attend his niece’s wedding ceremony and stayed for three nights. His third visit was on February 6, 2026, when he inaugurated newly constructed school buildings at Janata Inter College, Yamkeshwar. This is now his fourth visit to the village.
