Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami criticized the Congress party for supporting ‘Mohammad Deepak’, who recently gained notoriety in the Kotdwar incident. He said on Saturday that everyone is free to do what they want; what’s political about this? Some are saying that adding “Mohammad” before the name sounds good. Congress youth jump in to support them without thinking about the consequences.
Strict Action Against Land Jihad to Spit Jihad
The Chief Minister, speaking at an event in Tanakpur, Champawat district, said that his government has implemented strict laws against forced conversions to maintain the original character of Devbhoomi (Land of Gods). Strict action is also being taken against ‘land jihad, love jihad, and spit jihad’ in the state. Without naming the Congress, he targeted the party, saying that in the pursuit of appeasement politics, they find even those people acceptable who change their names, deceive innocent girls and women, and turn their lives into hell, plunging their future into darkness. He said that they have no concern for such matters.

He further said that this party even finds those who add ‘Mohammad’ before their sacred Hindu names acceptable. Referring to Rahul Gandhi, Dhami said that the crown prince of the Congress party also jumped in to support him (Mohammad Deepak) without thinking about the consequences and tweeted, uniting the entire Congress party.

The young man who became famous on social media as ‘Mohammad Deepak’ is actually named Deepak Kumar Kashyap. He is a resident of Kotdwar, Uttarakhand, and a gym trainer by profession. Recently, in Kotdwar, gym owner Deepak Kumar came forward to protest against Bajrang Dal workers who were pressuring a shopkeeper from a particular community to change his shop’s name from ‘Baba’. Deepak identified himself as ‘Mohammad Deepak’ and forced them to leave the shop. Rahul Gandhi had praised Deepak’s bravery and spirit, calling him a “hero of India” on social media. The Chief Minister told those present, “You can imagine how these people are uniting to distance us from our religion and how this party is doing the same thing it has been doing continuously since the country’s independence.”
