Dehradun: Chief Minister Shri Narendra Singh Dhami today watched the film “Godaan,” based on cow conservation, at the Centrio Mall in Dehradun. On this occasion, he described the film’s subject matter as a very meaningful and inspiring effort, rooted in Indian culture, rural life, and the tradition of cow conservation.
The CM said that the cow holds a special place in Indian culture. The cow is not only a symbol of faith but also the foundation of the rural economy, organic farming, nutrition, and environmental protection. Films like “Godaan” play an important role in raising awareness about cow conservation in society and connecting the new generation to their cultural roots. This film, based on the important subject of cow conservation, has been made tax-free in Uttarakhand by the state government to ensure that more people can watch it and spread awareness about cow conservation. He said that this decision reflects the state government’s commitment to encouraging films that convey positive messages to society.
