Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday met delegations representing various employee organisations at the Mukhyasevak Sadan in the Chief Minister’s Camp Office. The delegations presented various issues and demands related to their respective departments and cadres before the Chief Minister. After listening to their concerns, the Chief Minister directed senior officials to examine the issues in accordance with the rules and ensure appropriate action and resolution.
A delegation of the Education Officers Administrative Cadre Association demanded departmental promotions to the vacant posts of Director, Additional Director, Joint Director and Block Education Officer in the department. It also requested a provision for the automatic regularisation of employees after completion of their probation period.
The Uttarakhand Diploma Engineers Association of the Jal Sansthan raised the demand for the corporatisation-to-governmentalisation of the Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan. Meanwhile, the Uttarakhand University Employees Federation sought the filling of vacant non-teaching posts in various universities, restructuring of non-teaching posts at Uttarakhand Sanskrit University, and pay scales equivalent to those provided in other universities for laboratory assistants at Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology.
The Uttarakhand Junior High School Teachers Association requested that teachers appointed to posts advertised before October 25, 2005, be covered under the Old Pension Scheme. It also sought exemption from the Teacher Eligibility Test for teachers appointed before 2010.
Representatives of the National Health Mission Employees Organisation, Uttarakhand ANM Cadre Organisation, Lab Technicians Organisation, State Corporation Employees and Officers Federation, Secondary Guest Teachers Association, Part-Time Teachers Association and Uttarakhand State Excise Inspectors Association also presented their respective demands and grievances before the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister directed Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu to have the demands and grievances raised by all employee organisations examined through the concerned departments in accordance with the applicable rules and to ensure necessary action towards their appropriate resolution.
Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretaries Shailesh Bagoli and Dilip Jawalkar, Garhwal Commissioner Anand Swarup, Inspector General of Police, Garhwal, Rajiv Swarup, Additional Secretary J.C. Kandpal and other officials from the Chief Minister’s Office were also present on the occasion.
