Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami interacted with 140 selected students from across the state on Friday during the ‘Mukhyamantri Yuva Vidyarthi Manthan’ program held at Mukhya Sevak Sadan, located at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office. He gathered the students’ ideas, suggestions, and vision for a developed Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister stated that efforts would be made to link the useful and practical suggestions of the youth with government schemes and policy-making.
The Chief Minister announced that funds for purchasing tablets would be transferred via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) directly into the accounts of Class 10th and 12th students studying in government schools. He emphasized that the government is continuously working to connect students with modern technology and adapt the education system to meet future needs.
2.67 Lakh Students Submitted Suggestions
The Chief Minister informed that 2,67,744 students across the state shared their essays, thoughts, and suggestions under the ‘Mukhyamantri Yuva Vidyarthi Manthan’ campaign. Students presented their views on various topics, including education, health, tourism, roads, forests and environment, sports, migration, self-employment, entrepreneurship, and expanding job opportunities in rural areas.
He added that the vision, energy, and innovation of the youth can play a vital role in building a developed Uttarakhand, and such dialogue between the administration and youth will assist in better policy formulation.
Emphasis on Connecting Youth with Modern Skills
The Chief Minister stressed that in this changing era, it is essential to connect the youth with artificial intelligence, robotics, digital technology, and demand-driven modern skills. The government aims not only to prepare the youth for employment but also to encourage them to create jobs through entrepreneurship and self-employment.
He urged students to dream big, work hard consistently, and have confidence in their abilities. Reminiscing former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the Chief Minister remarked that there are no shortcuts to success, and continuous hard work is necessary to achieve goals.

During the program, students provided various suggestions, including extending information on self-employment schemes to the village level, career guidance in schools, leveraging the experience of senior citizens, linking medicinal plants to the global market, and adopting best practices in the tourism sector.
