Dehradun: The cabinet meeting of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, held at the Dehradun Secretariat, has concluded. Six major decisions were taken at the cabinet meeting held on Wednesday, February 11th. Of these, two pertained to the Labor Department, two to the Home Department, and one each to the Forest Department and Agriculture Department.
These 6 Decisions Taken in the Dhami Cabinet
- A decision has been taken today to withdraw the Payment of Bonus Amendment Act, which the Labor Department sent to the Center regarding bonus cuts during COVID.
- For the recruitment of ESI doctors under the Labor Department, the Labor Medical Service Rules 2006 will be amended to fill positions and provide promotions. Today, the cabinet approved appointments to a total of 94 positions.
- Approval for the creation of posts in the Anti-Narcotics Task Force, formed in 2022 under the Home Department. The Cabinet today approved 22 state-level positions for the Anti-Narcotics Task Force.
- Amendments were made to the Prison Act regarding the definition of habitual offenders, i.e., those who commit crimes repeatedly, adopting the central government’s definition.
- Of the total 893 daily wage laborers employed in the Forest Department, 314 were already receiving the minimum wage. Today, approval was granted to the remaining 579 daily wage laborers to receive the minimum wage, i.e., ₹18,000.
- The Prime Minister’s Micro-Fertilizer Upgradation Scheme, which is in effect until 2025-26, under the Agriculture Department. Additionally, the Cabinet decided today that the Chief Minister’s Micro-Fertilizer Upgradation Scheme, currently in effect in the state, will also continue.
